Survey: 31% of U.K. consumers want Amazon store on high street

Nearly a third of U.K. consumers surveyed want online giant Amazon to open a shop on high street, and 30% say they would buy food online from Amazon if the service were available, according to retail agency Live & Breathe. The survey shows that while people worry about the disappearance of the traditional high street, they also think brick-and-mortar shops charge more and offer less selection than big chains and online retailers, Live & Breathe Managing Director Nick Gray said.
