Viacom closes upfront with volume increases

Viacom has essentially wrapped its upfront, with ad sales chief Jeff Lucas for the third consecutive year reportedly writing deals that emphasize volume over rate increases. Viacom is said to have signed agreements with rates going up between 2% and 7%. Two marketers are said to be boosting volume by 10%, while seven others will be flat.
