4th-graders lobby for D.C. to have its own rock

Fourth-graders in a Washington, D.C., elementary school have partnered with local officials to establish the Potomac bluestone as the city's official rock. Councilman David A. Catania helped the students launch the D.C. Rocks campaign during a recent council meeting and has introduced a bill on the matter. "It's a nice civics lesson they’re getting," said their teacher Risha Clark.
