6 retailers to begin posting unit prices online

Six major retailers, including Wal-Mart and Costco, have agreed to a request by the New York attorney general to start posting unit prices for consumer packaged goods on their websites. Amazon will not make the change. Nineteen states and the District of Columbia require retailers to post the information in stores to help shoppers determine the best deals.
