Blast, nonblast traumatic brain injuries do not differ in symptoms

The symptoms experienced by military personnel who incurred traumatic brain injuries in a blast were not different from the symptoms of those whose injuries were not caused by explosions, according to a study in the Journal of the American Medical Association. Regardless of cause, TBI patients were more likely to have moderate to severe overall disability than veterans without brain injuries.
