Hospital system reaps benefits of starting telehealth in ICU

Most hospitals begin telehealth on the patient consult side of care but the Sisters of Mercy Health System in Missouri decided to heavily invest in ICU telehealth services, according to Wendy Diebert, vice president for Telehealth Services. She said it was important to use software that works with multiple EHR systems because the system can analyze ICU data to show which units were performing the best.
