Patients like physician's help with getting dietary care

Studies on weight-loss counseling provided by physicians showed that about half of patients liked it when their doctors helped set up treatment, including referrals to dietitians, researchers reported in a study published on the website of Family Practice. The review showed that while physician office visits often included discussion of diet, weight or exercise, fewer physicians helped to arrange care.
