Speakers of English as a second language top 1M in U.K. schools

Data show the number of U.K. students who speak English as a second language has reached more than 1.1 million, with nonnative English speakers making up to 75% of student enrollment in some London schools. Data also indicate these students are more likely to do well on General Certificate of Secondary Education exams.
