Camcorders get cooler, but sales level off

Camcorders have become smaller and now offer more options, but sales have slowed as digital cameras grow in popularity. The Consumer Electronics Association predicts camcorder sales will be up only slightly from 2005 at $1.5 billion; digital camera sales by comparison are expected to reach $7.2 billion.
