In the past, alternative investments have been one of the top drivers to Goldman Sachs' asset-management division. In the second quarter, however, net inflows to Goldman's alternative-investment funds sank to zero. "There is not really much color to add; it was flat over the quarter," said David Viniar, Goldman Sachs chief financial officer. "We are pretty optimistic on the business, we are adding new products and I think over time you will see that grow."
