Opinion: Airlines add fees to offset surge in oil

Airlines are adding new fees to offset the soaring price of oil, the Washington Post editorial board writes. The board notes that a fee for checking bags "is bound to add to the unpleasantness of air travel." However, observers also note that for now airlines will be able to raise fees without alienating travelers.
