Federal audit: Majority satisfied with cell phone service

As the Senate Commerce Committee homed in on exclusive wireless contracts in a hearing this week, an independent federal audit revealed that 84% of mobile-phone customers are satisfied with their service. CTIA-The Wireless Association® President and CEO Steve Largent backed testimony from Verizon Wireless and AT&T with a statement pointing to a Merrill Lynch study that found the U.S. wireless market among the most competitive out of the 26 nations studied.
