Caterpillar to expand mining presence with new shovels

Caterpillar is trying to expand its presence in the global mining industry by unveiling a line of mining shovels. A 125-ton model will be available by late 2011, and larger ones will come along later. Production of mining equipment has been a boost for equipment manufacturers in recent years, as there has been increased demand from developing countries, particularly China.
