Inclusion on federal watch list prompts Va. school to act

A Virginia high school where more than 80% of students enroll in college has questioned its inclusion on a federal list of the country's "persistently lowest-achieving schools." However, federal officials say the school was put on the list for persistent achievement gaps among minorities and students with disabilities. Teachers and administrators at T.C. Williams High School are studying how best to close those gaps and work toward school improvement.
