Lawsuit over new turf at Metrodome to continue

A Minnesota judge rejected a request from FieldTurf USA, the former supplier of turf in the Metrodome, to stop the Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission from installing a surface from competitor Sportexe. The judge, however, did not fully dismiss the lawsuit, which alleges that the commission's use of a product from Sportexe was arbitrary and capricious. FieldTurf said it offered the lowest bid, but the Minnesota Vikings have expressed concern over the safety of the surface.
