Maryland has announced its final highway-stimulus project, but officials expect the economic impact to linger for years to come. The state has committed $317 million to improve highways, and projects now under way are expected to boost the economy through 2012. The final, $2 million project funds replacement of a bridge deck spanning the Capital Beltway.
