Report: U.S. hospitals remain far off on CPOE meaningful use

A KLAS report found that only 14% of the nation's hospitals have met the proposed meaningful use requirement of entering about 10% of orders through CPOE systems. "While some EMR vendors have continued to be very successful moving customers to CPOE, even the market leaders are going to have to run faster ... to receive the earliest possible government reimbursement payments," the report's author said.
