Town ponders euthanasia to cut overpopulation of geese

A New Jersey town is squabbling over how to deal with an overpopulation of Canada geese that some residents consider a nuisance. Mount Laurel has tried geese repellents, changed landscaping and used dogs to chase after the birds, all to no avail. Some residents favor euthanasia by carbon dioxide under humane standards set by the USDA and AVMA as the next step, but others call it "murder."
