Toyota slips below Ford, other American rivals in J.D. Power survey

Toyota in the 2010 J.D. Power & Associates Initial Quality Survey has slipped from 7th to 21st place, compared with last year, and now ranks below Ford, Cadillac, Chevrolet and Lincoln -- all U.S. rivals it typically beats. Porsche, a unit of Volkswagen AG, was first, with Honda's Acura nameplate, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota's Lexus brand and Ford rounding out the top five.
