Whole Foods sets higher bar on organic cosmetic claims

Whole Foods is telling suppliers of personal-care products they cannot claim to be organic unless they meet standards similar to those for organic food. "Our shoppers do not expect the definition of 'organic' to change substantially between the food and the nonfood aisles of our stores," says a letter to vendors.
