Amadeus has published a report on the future of airports, "Reinventing the Airport Ecosystem." Mobile and other technologies are making airports more passenger-centric, the report says. Notable trends include a shift in booking power from third-parties toward the passenger, the rise of passenger access to global distribution systems and the growth of phone-based "arrival marketing."
