2 N.Y. HIEs merge to expand providers' access to patient data

Healthix and the Brooklyn Health Information Exchange have merged to allow health care organizations to access and share the health data of more than 8 million patients on Long Island and in New York City. "This will ultimately create dramatic improvements and efficiencies in the delivery of coordinated care to the patients who need it the most," said Richard Donoghue, senior vice president for strategic planning and business development at NYU Langone Medical Center.
