AEG, MGM team up to bring another indoor arena to Las Vegas Strip

MGM Resorts International and entertainment company AEG unveiled a plan Tuesday to construct a 20,000-seat indoor arena on MGM's property between Monte Carlo Resort and Casino and New York-New York Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The $350 million project is expected to break ground in summer 2014 and be finished by spring 2016. Populous, the firm that conceptualized the O2 World Arena in Berlin, will design the venue.
