China squeezed between need for cash, perilous credit growth

China is facing too-rapid growth in credit even as a shortage of cash has banks pleading with the central bank for more funds. The call now is for the People's Bank of China to create more leeway to reducing banks' reserve-requirement ratio, and experts predict some sort of action in the next few weeks.
