Could U.K. see a rise in repurposed prison hotels?

Plans for new superprisons in the U.K. could mean that old prisons may get new life as boutique hotels. In 2005, the Malmaison boutique hotel company converted the Oxford prison into a hotel with 95 rooms and promoted the site with its "Nights in the Nick" campaign. According to one think tank, prisons in Dartmoor, Pentonville and Wormwood Scrubs would be ideal spots for boutique luxury hotels.
