Deck collapse highlights condos' need for maintenance

After a deck collapsed at the Sandalwood Creek Condo Complex near St. Louis, sending four people to the hospital, many homeowners were shocked to find out their decks were dangerous and needed repairs. Of the 178 condos that were inspected following the collapse, more than 50 decks were either condemned or deemed unusable.
