How to improve your company's search ranking

The words potential customers might use in their Google search queries are the keywords your small business should be using when it looks to improve its search ranking, digital marketer Nicole Foley says. For local businesses, adding an address and opening a Google Places account will also increase the ranking. Foley notes Google demotes pages that force users to click often, have too many advertisements relative to the amount of content or have misleading metatags.
