Microsoft may use Qualcomm processors in Surface RT tablets

Microsoft will use Snapdragon processors from Qualcomm in some upcoming versions of its Surface RT tablet computer later this year, according to a published report. Microsoft which will use Nvidia's Tegra processors in other Surface RT versions, has reportedly been testing new Surface tablets using the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 processor, which features Long-Term Evolution connectivity. Also, Microsoft confirmed that it has cut the price to schools of its entry-level Surface RT by 60%, meaning that the 32 gigabyte model will cost $199.
