Microsoft touts speech-recognition speeds, more accuracy

Microsoft said it has deployed a technology known as deep neural networks that doubles the speed of speech-recognition software on its various devices, adding that DNNs -- which ape the behavior of the human brain -- also have enabled the company to improve voice-recognition accuracy by 15%. Microsoft's results reflect text tests on its Bing search engine.
