N.D. state college formally opens wind turbine

A dedication ceremony was expected to be held today for the 1.6-megawatt wind turbine at the Lake Region State College in North Dakota. The $7.2 million facility will supply power to the school and serve as a teaching aid for the school's wind turbine technician training program. Any surplus electricity from the turbine will be sold to Otter Tail Power Co.
