Payments based on quality measures accounted for 3% of total compensation for primary care physicians and 2% for specialists, according to data from more than 61,000 physicians included in a Medical Group Management Association report. Quality metrics tied to physician reimbursement will be increasing as health care organizations address value-based reimbursements, said Todd Evenson of MGMA.
