Retailers eye digital expansion in the year ahead

Top retail executives plan to increase spending on digital technology in the coming year, according to a KPMG survey. Forty percent will spend more on information technology, and 24% will increase advertising and marketing spending. "The spending on digital is about implementing and improving the omnichannel, and stores are realizing their digital offerings need to provide a seamless retail experience," said KPMG global retail leader Mark Larson.
