Sequestration prompts U.S. military to miss Paris Air Show

The U.S. military is not participating in the Paris Air Show because of sequestration cuts, according to this article. "It was very unfortunate that [the Department of Defense] was unable to send aircraft to the Paris Air Show as a result of sequestration budget cuts," said Marion Blakey, president and CEO of the Aerospace Industries Association. "As the oldest and largest airshow in existence, Paris is an important opportunity for industry to work with our government partners to showcase the best aerospace and defense products in the world."
