U.K. files criminal charges against former trader in Libor case

Prosecutors in the U.K. filed criminal fraud charges Tuesday against Tom Hayes, a former trader with UBS and Citigroup, in connection with alleged manipulation of the London Interbank Offered Rate. Hayes, 33, is accused of being integral in the rigging of Libor. Seven months ago, the U.S. Justice Department filed similar charges against Hayes.
