U.S. should study expanding crude oil exports, experts say

The U.S. should consider further exports of oil to sustain a production boom spurred by technological advancements in drilling, observers say. According to Department of Energy data, the U.S. will top Saudi Arabia to become the largest oil producer in the world by 2020. "If you have an opportunity to export the more expensive product and import the cheaper one, why not do it," said John Felmy, the American Petroleum Institute's chief economist.
