Wal-Mart aims to duplicate logistics expertise in e-commerce

Wal-Mart long ago perfected its hub-and-spoke logistics system that cuts out the middlemen and the costs that come with them and keeps stores stocked from warehouses less than a day's drive away. Now, the retailer is turning its expertise and about $430 million in 2013 capital expenditures to cut costs and improve efficiency in its e-commerce operations.
