Effective flipped instruction depends on four elements, according to a recent report by the Flipped Learning Network, George Mason University and Pearson's Center for Educator Effectiveness. These pillars include flexible environments, a shift in focus for the classroom to become student-centered, an evaluation from teachers about what content needs to be taught directly and the presence of trained, professional teachers, the report finds.
