One co-founder replaces another as Acer chairman

George Huang has been named to succeed Stan Shih as chairman of Acer. Shih came out of retirement in November to serve as chairman before the company installed a new CEO, Jason Chen. Huang, who also was retired, has had a hand in the restructuring that puts greater emphasis on mobile and cloud computing.
