Study finds many popular hypertension videos are misleading

A study of 209 online videos about hypertension found that 33% were misleading but 63% could be considered useful. According to the study in the Journal of the American Society of Hypertension, many of the videos classified as misleading promoted natural cures, and over 50% had ads for alternative treatments. Dr. David Calhoun of the University of Alabama noted that physicians should ask their patients how they educate themselves about medical conditions.
