Universities and drone firms collaborate on training, technology

A growing number of universities are teaming with drone manufacturers to build better drones and train people in how to use them. Among the recent partnerships: Northrop Grumman and the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, which together are using the "SandShark" drone to work on sense-and-avoid systems and other technologies.
