Beam and statue top off Philly's new Comcast Center

A topping-off ceremony marked the raising of the final beam on the highest point of the new 58-story Comcast Center in Philadelphia this week. In a nod to local superstition, a small statue of William Penn was included. The city hopes to break the curse that no Philadelphia team has won a championship since the One Liberty Place building in 1989 rose higher than the top of the William Penn statue hat on City Hall.
