Reduced carbs linked to increased risk of colorectal cancer

A reduction in carbohydrate intake could increase the risk of colorectal cancer, according to researchers who looked at the diets of several men. In those on a limited carb diet, researchers found a fourfold decrease in the production of butyrate, a fatty acid, that protects against colorectal cancer.
