Study: Diabetic death rate drops more among men than women

Even though the rate of diabetes has increased since the 1970s, the death rate among men with the disease has dropped sharply, according to a new study. The death rate among diabetic women has not improved as much as men, however, and researchers suspect that women may not be receiving the same care for heart disease, which is the leading killer of diabetics.
