Cost and a steep learning curve to adapt to a new workflow are two of the challenges to EHR implementation according to an early adopter who spoke at a gathering that celebrated Oklahoma being chosen as a participant in CMS's project to encourage adoption of EHRs. The state's health secretary said a big benefit would occur when physicians can access "a full medical history in an instant anywhere in Oklahoma."
