23andMe secures $2.6M investment from Google

23andMe, a personal genetics firm, has received $2.6 million in additional investment from Google. Google co-founder Sergey Brin, whose wife launched the biotech startup, announced in 2008 that he carries a genetic mutation, which was identified using 23andMe's DNA analysis service, that makes him more likely to develop Parkinson's disease.
