How social media can drive product sales on retail sites

Traditional retailers such as Office Depot, Staples, Macy's and Nordstrom are finding success with using social media to boost sales, according to Brett Hurt, founder and chief executive officer of Bazaarvoice, which manages user-generated ratings and reviews for manufacturer and retailer sites. Among the firm's products is BrandVoice, a service for manufacturers to place real product reviews on retail sites.
