Immigration curriculum helps net Mass. teacher top honors

Fourth-grade teacher Jennifer Leith, 58, was named the Massachusetts Preserve America History Teacher of the Year for teaching students about the immigrant experience. Leith's students take on the role of an ancestor or other immigrant, dress in character, and plan and write about their imaginary journey.
