Receiver takes over San Francisco's Renaissance Stanford hotel

A receiver has taken control of San Francisco's Renaissance Stanford hotel and an adjacent parking garage after the hotel's borrowers defaulted on an $89 million loan for the hotel's acquisition, renovation and operation. The 393-room luxury hotel is continuing operations under the Marriott Renaissance flag and low room rates have helped keep occupancy high.
