Iran's Twitter revolution isn't necessarily going to affect domestic politics, she says, just as Egyptians protesting on Facebook haven't ousted their leader. Twitter is a tool to disseminate information, but its effectiveness is blurred by "global white noise." And, she points out, "Iranians managed to have quite the revolution in 1979 without so much as a mobile phone."
