Twitter provides info, not revolutions

So what if information is flowing faster than ever? It's not going to change the world, Elisabeth Eaves writes. Iran's Twitter revolution isn't necessarily going to affect domestic politics, she says, just as Egyptians protesting on Facebook haven't ousted their leader. Twitter is a tool to disseminate information, but its effectiveness is blurred by "global white noise." And, she points out, "Iranians managed to have quite the revolution in 1979 without so much as a mobile phone."
