BofA cites potential civil charges from regulators on RMBS

The Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the New York attorney general are investigating Bank of America's activities during the recession, and the investigations could result in civil charges, the bank said in a securities filing. The Justice Department plans to file civil charges over "one or two jumbo prime securitizations," or residential mortgage-backed securities not backed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, the bank said.
